Humpfer request for new trial denied again

A second request for a new trial by a second lawyer hired by Paul Humpfer failed to convince the judge that the coincidental points which paths of Judge James Hallock and Village President Bill Sarto prejudiced Hallock in his finding Humpfer guilty of domestic battery.

Judge Grant Wegner ruled against the motion for a new trial for Humpfer.

Perhaps now we can get on to sentencing Humpfer for his crimes — sentencing that has already been delayed for 7 months; and about a year and a half since the crimes were committed.
